Our Mission

Peace Community Center is a place of community, committed to the empowerment of children and young adults.  The Center provides the skills and support needed for each to reach their God-given potential.

Our Vision

The children and young adults we serve are confident in their ability to learn, love, and be powerful agents for positive change in our world.

Peace Community Center is a non-profit organization empowering children and youth in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma. Located at the corner of South 21st and Cushman, the Center has been offering a variety of education-centered programs, such as KidREACH and Hilltop Scholars, since 2001. Through programs like these, Peace Community Center is able to academically support students from their first day of Kindergarten through college graduation.

The Center does not do its work alone. Over 250 volunteers dedicate many hours to the Center’s programs each year. Private donors contribute 95% of the annual funding needed to operate the Center. Schools, parents, and other caring individuals in the community partner with the Center in a variety of ways to help provide students with often hard to find holistic support and opportunities so that each child may reach his or her God-given potential.
